My Little Artists

We have had a FULL week, between giving our "Grassheads" haircuts, testing out Christopher's new Art Easel, playing in the pool, 3 playdates, shopping with Aunt Beni in the "ghetto" for the Asian Nail Supplies :o), played dressup as usual, and PICKING TOMATOES from our tomato plant!!!! That was the highlight of the week for me, he-he!
I've also started reading a GREAT book given to my from my friend Jenn called "Captivating" and I can tell I'm going to LOVE it! Kyle is over in Africa check out the amazing info here, we are working on getting ready for our Backyard Bible Club at the end of June, We had a great experience serving at the Round Rock Area Serving Center, My friend Sabrina finally had her precious little boy ( I saw him on Wednesday and he's GORGEOUS!), I met a new friend with a little girl Adrianna's age, I ran 3 times this week, I organized linen closets and am completely through with laundry!!! My week was officially full and successful!

I'm currently getting ready to put my third Avon order together, making spaghetti sauce and am SO LOOKING FORWARD to hanging out with the kids and daddy at the pool this weekend! We've had a wonderful week and now it's time to rest...whew!

Oh and did I mention we are DONE WITH SOFTBALL FOR THIS SEASON??!! It was definitely an adjustment for us and our schedules and we loved it, but I'm just glad we get a summer break! It was great to be "Dugout Mom", form little bonds with all the sweet girls, and see her make new little friends, all the moms were great, being on a team was SO MUCH FUN and we look forward to it again in the fall. This was a taste of what it's going to be like when she starts Kindergarten. I am going to be 100% involved in her class, know all the kids and have them all know me, it'll be such a great experience for both Adrianna and me! Her team party is tomorrow and the "Closing Ceremonies" are next week...here she is at her last game...

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I'll catch you next week!

PMDS -- LOL!

Today I am filled with PMDS (Post Mother's Day Stress!). I had the BEST weekend I could ask for and had LOTS of fun, PLAYED ALOT, and now oh boy, I'm stressed!!!!! I have the menu to plan, laundry to start, organizing to do, playdates, Bible Studies, TBall and volunteering at the Round Rock Area Serving Center . . . BACK TO REALITY! :o)

My Mother's Day "weekend" started off late Friday night going to the movies with my honey - - Saturday was spent with my family at Chuckie Cheese, shopping for clothes for mommy (Daddy picked out some cute outfits for me, I'm SO lucky to have a man that loves to watch me try clothes on!) - - Sunday morning I awoke to presents in bed, a fresh cup of coffee and this . . .

I ate a GREAT a breakfast of Portabello Mushroom Omelet, Pancakes, Turkey Sausage, Home Fries, Wheat Bagel and fresh sliced strawberries...YUMMMMMMMMM! (Yes, the man not only cleans and has patience of a saint but he COOKS TOO, and GOOOOOODDDDDDD!) Then I got dressed in one of my new outfits and headed to Starbucks for a Light Frappuccino with Erika, hit Ikea and then met Cindy over at the outlets to get some swimsuits and clothes!! My day of shopping lasted about 4 hours and then I got home with some goodies using my Visa Gift Card from Chris and opened a bottle of wine . . . WHAT A WAY to end my perfect weekend. I cuddled up with Chris since the kids both fell asleep early and we watched some tv together with some wine and a great talk about how thankful I am for ALL that I have. (Adrianna took this pic of me before I left...the girl is good...LOL)

I realized yesterday how full my life is . . . I have an amazing, adoring husband, 2 beautiful and healthy kids, and a great circle of friends that I absolutely love! Now that I just typed out this blog I feel relaxed and can go tackle project #1 on my list...dishes! :o)

Hope you all had a great weekend too!!!!

IronMan is HOT!

So, last night was our date night and since it's Mother's Day "weekend", yes I get the WHOLE weekend, (wink) we decided to go to a late movie last night. Chris was willing (guilted) into going to see Maid of Honor, well at least that was my plan until he came home telling me that he thought I would like to see IronMan. :o) "It has some romance in it too Gina, Gweneth Paltrow is in it" , like that was going to convince me, ha! I did see Robert Downey Jr. on a couple late night talk shows discussing the movie and was intrigued....I think he's HOT! Don't ask me why, I know he's a little older but I just LOVE him!

So we went to see IronMan and guess what? I LOVED IT!!!! It was really great, action packed, a little flirtatiousness, the good guy bad guy bit and all . . . I would go back to see it again. I adore Chris's love for movies and SO enjoy going with him to share in his #1 love so if it means seeing a superhero movie, I'm game. I left "wowed" by it so that was cool too! So ladies, give your husband a little something, surprise him with some Iron Man tickets and take him on a date! That'll get you some extra shopping time/money guaranteed! :o) It did for me at least.... LOL!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Hostesses with the Mostesses!

I am really getting used to hostessing with these two! :o) They are such great women and I love party planning, church event planning and just gabbing away with both of you! (This is from Sabrina's Shower, I STILL need to put some pics up....unless you want to Cindy??? wink wink)

LOVE THESE!

I have always loved "vintage". My mom hates that I love that stuff and always has complained about it, never understood it, but whatever Mom! :o) Yes there are 7 year olds that love coming across vintage stuff at garage sales and beg their mom to buy it when she says it's just junk! Ask me or my mom... :o) LOL Some things never change...I still LOVE LOVE LOVE garage sales, thrift stores and enjoy browsing vintage stores but usually don't buy in those places, since it's overpriced and someone else did the "hunting" which is 90% of the fun for me!

I came across these today and HAD to add the female to my sidebar since that really IS my moto!

Thank God for coffee!:o)

Christopher's 2nd Birthday Party

Okay, here it is! :o) I had big ideas of what the party was going to look like, what games we were playing, but most important how it was going to be decorated. Lots of different colors, streamers, his bday banner hung high, stuffed elmos, Sesame Street characters in particular places, a blown up ball pit to play in, balloons, and more.... well guess what??? I HATE THE WIND!!!! The weather was SUPPOSED to be hot and sunny, not cool and BREEZY!!!! While setting up, half of my stuff blew all over the place, and needless to say I just gave up on table cloths and streamers and did the best I could (after crying to Chris of course!) It was quite comical to say the least. Christopher had a blast with his constant snotty nose, and even though I couldn't get any shots without him looking windblown,it was a GREAT party! :o) All the kids enjoyed themselves and really only care about the cake and piling in to see the presents be opened. Why many of us mommies put so much stress on birthday parties is beyond me, but hey at least I don't have any more planning to do until the New Year 2009! Thank goodness!

Resonate Community Church

Chris has been trying to figure out how to put the Powerpoint project he did for our first service onto blogger but couldn't so finally he made it into a movie to put on youtube and now I can share it with everyone! He did a GREAT JOB!

Enjoy.... ( I cried when I first saw it, this has been an incredible journey to date for sure! )

Matthew 5:21-26

Don't worry, I will make my next post all the fun details from yesterdays birthday party! :o) I'm burnt out of Elmo for right now so I spent my first cup of coffee this morning reading Matthew5. I'm part of a couple Bible Studies and one of them is hosted by my friend Jen who lives right down the road so it's SO EASY to walk on over there on Monday afternoons with the kids which is why I added that study into my crazy schedule. :o) So this morning I started my reading (yes I waited until the DAY BEFORE the study to read...it was a CRAZY pre-party planning week!)

Anyway, when I got to verse 21 it was titled in my Bible "Teaching about Anger" and it almost took my breath away because I realized that this is SO something that I've been struggling with for quite some time with someone who was once a very good friend of mine. I actually had to stop by her house yesterday on my way to dinner with my husband, his mom and the kids since she had emailed me a few times asking for something I borrowed quite some time back. This was the first time I had seen her since before Thanksgiving so it was a little nerve racking since I've had a lot of hurt and anger to deal with caused by her. But something about my visit that was really only supposed to be a 1minute drop off, seemed like it was 30 minutes but realistically was about maybe 10 or so, just set me free.

When I was reading this morning, it made a ton of things just click for me.

21-22"You're familiar with the command to the ancients, 'Do not murder.' I'm telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother 'idiot!' and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell 'stupid!' at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.

23-24"This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.

25-26"Or say you're out on the street and an old enemy accosts you. Don't lose a minute. Make the first move; make things right with him. After all, if you leave the first move to him, knowing his track record, you're likely to end up in court, maybe even jail. If that happens, you won't get out without a stiff fine.
